What’s going on everyone? Thank you for joining The Hip Hop Push LLC. My name is Chosen Lyric: Founder/ Owner of The Hip Hop Push LLC, 10x Published Spoken Word Poet,

In my last writing, I was discussing an artist by the name of Wiccid Lo

and his label, “2Tempted Ent.” Wiccid and Bank$ dropped a fire song called “Dead Presidents.”  Do remember to check out the EP “ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME,” from Wiccid Lo and Chino Loc 1, was released earlier this month.

Today, I wanted to talk about another EP, A Life Of Darkness, from Wiccid Lo and Fort Worth, Texas artist Blu Loco,

released in 2021. This project differs from the newest release. It features Ceddy Nash, as well as 2 Tempted Ent artist Jonny Kap. (I have liked the tracks I have heard from Kap so far, but one of my favorites is “Watch Who You’re Talking Bout” featuring Blu Loco. I’ll be blogging about the 2 of them more in the future. )

The 2 videos released from the project were “Don’t Make Me Do It,” and “G- Way.” “Don’t Make Me Do It” has a very spooky theme over a tight bassline, just in time for Halloween. G-Way displays visuals of Al Capone and other depicted mobsters in their moments, as Lo and Loco rap about neighborhood principles over soft piano keyes:

I’m loyal to my neighborhood/
Just like me & my neighbor should?
Look out for each other,
That’s a bond that’s been misunderstood…/
– Blu Loco, “G- Way”

…No man left behind in no war/
And we didn’t bring beef to your/
Front door…/

-Wiccid Lo, “G- Way”

The production on the project shines. Most of the instrumentals on the project are more upbeat, except for “No More Tears.” This is a high energy project, seemingly created initially to inspire vigilance on some tracks, like, “Don’t Make Me Do It” and “Find Out,” yet other tracks also whisper sentiments of caution, like “The Set Up” & “No More Tears.”

Definitely have a listen, and let me know what you think either on Twitter or Instagram. Thank you for rocking with The Hip Hop Push LLC, and I’ll be back with something else next week. Thank you for you time.

Until Next Post,
