Welcome Back to The Hip Hop Push Blog. After a multi-year hiatus, the blog is returning to spotlight Wiccid Lo, his label, “2TemptedEnt,” & their associates. Before I begin, I’d like to speak on a few topics to clarify what can be expected going forward from this effort, giving the effort the strongest possibility of longevity.
To 2TemptedEnt:
As a given, thehiphoppush.com will cover 2TemptedEnt’s latest musical releases (singles, videos, mixtapes & albums, hottest content releases, some prior releases, features (them on other artists’ records & other artists on their records), & an occasional deeper dive into the lyrics. The “Featured Photo” in the blog will be posted to Instagram (& a link will go out to other The Hip Hop Push-owned properties when the blog is posted.) The artist(s) will then be tagged to ask to collaborate on the corresponding Instagram post when the blog post is live.
-Priority will be given, as always, to the Main Act,
(pictured: Wiccid Lo)
then Features,
(Pictured: Bank$)
(Pictured: Rollin’ Solow)
then whoever is most active: both in their music releases, & on Instagram (Via Collabs, Likes, Reposts, etc). Extra Points for reposting other Label Artists’ & Affiliated Artists’ content from The Hip Hop Push- owned properties onto yours. (To be fair: the Company Owner will also periodically write about The Hip Hop Push blog on his other blog properties,
and will repost/ share/ all of his favorite 2TemptedENT Label Artist & Affiliate songs to his social media: all possible hands on deck in this effort.)
The Instagram Account @thehiphoppush is run in an egalitarian fashion, offering promotion to all collaborating artists. However, the blog will be “Winner Take All,” and (although there will be no status demotions unless there’s an emergency) the end result could be an addition to the “Main Act” or “Features.”
We’ll just have to wait and see.
To The Reader/ Listener:
2TemptedEnt artists & associates (rappers, poets, singers, actors, reggaeton artists, & more) for the most part, have been relatively productive in the Social Media Marketing processes of The Hip Hop Push in the distribution of their content. In the event the participating artists are just as involved with the blog in the future, you, the reader, will see the Agency post new performances, “Behind The Scenes” content, interviews & previously unreleased content to thehiphoppush.com . Thank you for your continued support, from both The Hip Hop Push LLC & 2TemptedEnt.
To The Hip Hop Push Prior Customers:
If you have ever purchased from The Hip Hop Push, I would like to offer you one complimentary (at no extra financial charge) blog post & TWO Instagram Posts (One before the post, to be embedded, & One marketing the blog) for every purchase you have made prior. It could be for the same piece of content you originally purchased a promo for, or for something new if you’d like. That offer is ONLY for past customers. All that I ask in return is that you collaborate on that Instagram photo posted from that blog post. Thank you for past support of The Hip Hop Push LLC.
To Chosen Lyric’s Past Rap Colleagues:
The one thing I do have to make clear to the artists that I have worked with before the opening of The Hip Hop Push LLC (Est.2020), AND the artists that I have worked with before 2TemptedENT x The Hip Hop Push LLC (Circa 2022), who send DMs to my personal social media accounts & my business social media accounts in 2025 is: Yesterday’s Price Is Not The Same As Today’s Price. It’s time for me to publicly acknowledge that I am much long past the need to completely align with other rap outlets in the exact same fashion I did previously. However, I am now accepting proposals from former colleagues in my email that will be either accepted or denied based upon the belief in the ability of your offer to meet the desired terms of The Hip Hop Push LLC AND, most importantly, your level of leverage based on your likelihood to deliver. Understand that 2 Tempted ENT will maintain the position of “Resident Artists,” & that status shall not be usurped under any circumstances: they invested financially, and you didn’t.
Business Is Business.
To Artists Who Have Yet To Make A Purchase, Yet Ask For Listens & Critiques:
Almost last, but not least: I have some honest, sincere questions for the artists who send music to my inbox all the time without ever trying to build a relationship or even offer anything in return. My question is: what is your end goal? My deeper question is: why are you asking marketing agencies you don’t intend on hiring for their opinion on your music? An even deeper question is, how could you even trust the requested opinion after positioning yourself as a freeloader towards the business? If you put others in the position to play the yes man, because they have no current skin in the game of your music career, how could you trust you’re getting honest feedback? Personally, when you haven’t booked a listening session, how do you truly know I’m critiquing what I even listened to? The “Listening Session” service was created & is offered with integrity to meet those concerns, but if you don’t want to purchase services, there has got to be a better use of YOUR time than Cold Direct Messaging marketers hoping they like your song enough to post your song for free. A much better approach is to be an active follower & earn organic attention.
To The Affiliated Artists Questioning The True Necessity Of A Blog:
I was taught there’s no such thing as a stupid question, & your question is a good question. If we look at the Instagram account, I’ve made over eleven hundred (lucky number 11) posts on there. The effort, to the benefit of 2TemptedEnt, was to centralize the 2Tempted experience.
I have spent some time over the last few years searching around the internet for 2TemptedEnt content like it was a scavenger hunt, but it was primarily posted in 1 place & given 1 main address: instagram.com/thehiphoppush.
However, at the end of the day, Instagram owns the account. Instagram owns the emails. Instagram owns the relationships. Instagram has the power to delete the account if it wants. There is no direct profit benefit from the process of Instagram’s ads system. Instagram decides whether or not the account will be seen. Instagram’s algorithm decided which 2TemptedENT artists would go on to be selected to be features on The Hip Hop Push LLC’s Instagram.
In contrast, I own my URL for a certain amount of time before another small payment is made, so I control it. Monetizing that URL is possible via affiliate marketing, and there’s no limit to the number of links (as opposed to Instagram’s five). In the long run, there are available benefits, from not only Google’s ads process, and CPM when the site is big enough, but I also can offer other advertising opportunities privately. Its also possible to create & maintain an online store directly from the site, but I can sell digital downloads on the blog. I, as the blogger, own the relationship between blogger & subscriber, as opposed to Instagram owning the relationship.
In a perfect world, in the long run, I would be able to drop Instagram deep down in importance, all the way down to just a cog in the rap marketing wheel, in an effort to further platform the blog & the artists on it.
I believe I have explained the purpose of a blog better. I’ll be making a follow-up post about Traffic in the future. Let me know in the Instagram Post comments if you have other blog function-related questions. I will say that, as a Social Media Marketing Agency, Social Media is currently prioritized over SEO, but we’ll see over time what other income streams & marketing strategies are considered & implemented in the future.
Thanks to each & every one of you for reading the returning blog post of The Hip Hop Push LLC, much more to come.
